About this deal

The name Coleana is of Irish origin and means "Young child. Peaceful dove; From the coal pool. The feminine form of Colin". I’m usually all about a strong alpha hero and Maximo more than met that need. Watching him earn Juliet’s trust was heartwarming, and learning what he would do to protect her had me loving this author all the more. He also made my jealous, protective alpha loving heart sing without being a jerk to the heroine about it. This book and this heroine were bothersome to my person. Juliet was very obviously just a fictional self-insert of the author. As a character, she made no sense because she wasn’t created with intention and forethought to be a fit for the hero… she was literally just Layla Frost with all of Layla Frost’s traits with zero connection or significance to the plot.

Overall, decent book, but not really for me. It very rarely kept my attention, but I do like a loyal and devoted hero, so all the stars for him. NINA—“the small one," has three masts, all with lateen sails—a style of sail brought to the Mediterranean centuries before Columbus and well known. Lateen sails are fore and aft sails which allow the ship to sail considerably closer to the wind than square sails.Someone warm was there, someone was stroking his face, brushing away the tears and telling him that he was, “So good, Tom, you did so good for me.”

That command was all it took for the floodgates to open and tears poured down his face and he nearly screamed, “ Cum in me, please cum in me, hold―hold me, don’t let me go, I want it, please, cum in me, cum in me, PLEASE!” Truth be told, he wasn’t even concerned with the fact that a huge, English-speaking tentacle monster had him held firmly in the air—he was more concerned with the fact that it had him half naked and wasn’t listening to him, dammit. Which was kind of stupid, because why in the hell would he expect a beast like this to listen to him, but this is Tom we’re talking about. That explained just about everything going on here. It was just Tom. I was not expecting to enjoy this as much as I did. I’ve been holding off because I’ve read so much Daddy kink that I feel they blend together or they say Daddy kink but they really mean Dom/sub dynamic. This was kinda perfect because it fully embraced taking care of their partner while not being creepy. (We got an MMC who respects the FMC and actually tells her things 😧)

Not the best, but also not bad. It was a bit boring too, although that can maybe be blamed on me being in a book slump again😅. The cargo holds of his ships contained spices, ivory, silk cloth and delicate porcelain to grace the tables of wealthy aristocrats. Villiers characterized da Gama’s achievement with this statement—“He had sailed 24,000 miles to make the greatest voyage then known to history. Columbus was also in quest of the Indies but it was da Gama who found them.” The name Colombain is of French origin and means "From the Late Latin Columba, which is derived from columba dove The name was borne by several saints, including the Irish St. Columban c. 540-615, a missionary of great influence on the Continent and founder of the monastery at Bobbio in northern Italy".

So you can see I had high expectation of this book and all of it went good until the final. The thing felt rushed and I didn't even feel angry at the book. I really felt heart-broken because I wished s much for this book to be perfect, to succeed. The final part of the book just didn't have any of the existing elements that make the book amazing for me in the first place. And this is just a bad.Low angst, no ow/om drama, no cheating, slight secondary character, Drama, sexy times, virgin gal no manwhore celibate 1 year
