About this deal

Another use case of mAh is in smartphone batteries. The battery's capacity is a critical part of a smartphone's specs, but a bigger battery on a smartphone doesn't necessarily mean it'll have a longer battery life.

If you understand how batteries work, then you’ll know that they come with a limited lifetime, also called cycle count, before they start deteriorating. After around 100-200 cycles you’ll be losing anywhere between 10 & 25% of your battery life depending on the quality of the battery. When we’re measuring features vs price, the UMiDigi Power comes out on top as the best all-rounder mid-range phone in this list. The large 6.3″ display is Full HD, it’s also thin at 8.8mm, and it still manages to squeeze in an impressive 5150mAh fast charge battery… letting you ‘Power’ on well into your 2nd day of usage. I was a huge fan of the G7 Power, and the Motorola G8 Power only builds on its predecessors’ strong points. Yes, the device comes with a 5000mAh battery, qualifying it for this list of smartphones with amazing battery life. However, that’s only half the reason why I have included it on the list. Motorola have also used a water repellent coating to help protect the Moto E5 Plus from spills and rain. Be aware though, it’s not an official waterproof rating but will probably protect itself from your coffee spills. It’s powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 7904 chip with a massive 6GB’s of RAM and 64GB’s of storage to keep the Android 9 OS running buttery smooth. The 2nd of UMiDigi’s phones to make this list is the F1 Play. Everything you could want from a mid-range Android phone is included; NFC, full metal unibody design, great performance and a big 6.3″ full HD display.

The Vernee X1 doesn’t compromise. It’s available in two variants offering up to 6GB of RAM’s and 128GB’s of storage coupled with MediaTek’s next generation Helio P23 CPU. While not a powerhouse, it offers extreme mid-range efficiency. Now onto the battery. Yes that’s right, under the hood is a 9000mAh battery that will easily last 2 days of power usage and 3-4 of light usage. For a massive battery like this, you need some serious charging power and it comes in the form of PumpExpress 4.0 (5V/5amps).Onto the Pros and we’re getting a 5000mAh battery with Motorola’s TurboPower 15w charging which promises 6 hours of battery life with only a 15 minute charge. The display has also grown to 6.4″ but there are fewer pixels to push around, so you’ll be getting at least 50% more screen time. Impressive! The display is Full HD, its super slim at only 8mm and is also featherweight at only 221 grams (size-considered). I’ve reviewed my fair share of 5.5″ smartphones that weigh more than the 6.9″ Mi Max 3. For example, are you considering gaming performance? Well, the Helio P70 along with 6GB of RAM made sure I could play PUBG even at the highest settings. In fact, the experience was further enhanced by the FHD+ 6.53” bezel-less display. The smartphone with the longest battery life used to be the Doogee BL12000, which featured the Guinness World Record-breaking 12000mAh battery.

Couple this with a beautiful 6.47″ curved ( HDR10) AMOLED display, a gaming-ready Snapdragon 730G plus tons of storage and we have ourselves one of best value phones of 2020. Update: The Mi Max 3 is a little older now, but, I’ve left it on this list as it’s still great-value and is the perfect media-consuming phone. If you were looking for a OnePlus alternative at around half the price, the F1 Play has you covered. Fast forward to 2019 and the Energizer Power Max P18K blows it out of the water with a ridiculous 18000mAh battery. All-while featuring flagship credentials such as a popup selfie camera and tiny bezels. Now that a lot of batteries are sealed inside phones, you’ll want to do everything you can prolong the life of your battery. There’s actually an easy way to do this on any phone using an app called AccuBattery.Or should I say… UMiDigi F1 Play – Ceramic Edition? Specs-wise, the two phones only differ in the camera department. In terms of build quality, the S3 Pro uses a ceramic rear battery cover, but at the cost of 23 extra grams in weight. Finally, in terms of design, this is the only place where Samsung had to cut some corners by going with a plastic build. However, the plastic body does help to keep the weight down at only 191 grams despite the massive battery, so that’s a big plus. Other premium features we see on the BL9000 are Wireless Charging and NFC which are traditionally reserved for flagship devices. Onto the battery life, and we’ve got 5150mAh’s to play with. This means the F1 Play will easily last for 2-3 days and with this big battery comes an impressive 18w fast charger which will give you a 40% charge in less than 30 minutes.

At around 60% the cost of the X1, the Vernee X2 is a great deal for anyone who needs a budget smartphone that’ll still be powering on well into your 3rd days use. Yes, there’s no denying that the design is a little 2018, but if you’re not a fan of the notch, then this a solid long battery life option. Finally, with a battery this big you’ll want some serious fast charging and the A40s doesn’t disappoint with a 15w faster charger included in the box. The Xiaomi Mi Note 10 boasts a whopping 5 camera setup with a humongous 108MP main shooter. And when you combine that with the long-lasting 5260mAh battery, you’ll be snapping photos well into the night.
