The significance of this difference is that if you prefer to add Cabinet modelling in your DAW, you can use the direct output. With a choice of six main amp types modelled in the preamp section, you can quite easily run the ME-70 directly into a PA, mixer or soundcard. However, that skimming which has been sufficient for every product I've previously bought, was not sufficient for this product.

But for fly-dates, where it is essential to travel light, or small club gigs where stage space is at a premium, both have been known to use a multi-effects unit from the Boss ME series. This is a 2nd hand item and may not come with all originally included items and original accessories or software. The ME70 was designed to go in front of a guitar amp which is the opposite of most multi fx/modeling boards out today.

I accept that there's a *very* narrow sweet spot to it, which varies depending on the amp - and with a few amps, doesn't exist - but when it's dead right it's the definitive distortion sound. If you have any questions about this item or would like to know more about it, please feel free to contact us with any specific questions and a member of our sales staff will get back to you straight away. In the default Manual Mode, the four footswitches correspond to four effects modules: compression/FX, overdrive/ distortion, modulation and delay. I can't help feeling that, for impedance reasons, I should be using the stereo rec/phones output instead. I dealt with a band who used these live into the effects loop ins of those 90s Marshall valvestate amps, effectively using them as warm-sounding solid state power amps to amplify their Boss units.Whichever mode you're in, the EZ Tone function gives you a good starting point for constructing your own sounds. There is less definition with distortion as there are more overtones created because of the hard clipping.

The story of myself and multi effects is almost biblical in length and thus the expurgated package is presented. An electrician friend fixed it by swapping it with one of the other sockets on the back, one I never use. My daughter was about 2 or 3 and she'd sneak into my room and think it was great fun to pull all the knobs off the BE5, leaving them all in a straight line in front of it.Great for when you don't have the cash but want a boss digital delay, tremolo, overdrive, distortion and more. In manual mode these foot switches turn individual effects on and off, like four separate stomp boxes, one each for Compression/FX, Overdrive/ Distortion, Modulation, and Delay.
