DS Attainable Rate: The maximum physical rate achievable US Attainable Rate: The maximum physical rate achievable If it's going to be used to connect a router without its own modem, the Vigor 130 and Vigor 166 are ideal, they work as VDSL / G.fast to Ethernet modems out of the box.

To me, the main heading "ATU-R Info (hw: annex A, f/w: annex A/B/C)" needs to be removed and the column headers, "Near End"&"Far End" should be changed to read "US"&"DS", respectively. Leave the Service Name field blank if that option is present because that should not be set when using the Vigor 130 modem: Your attainable data rate on the 130 seems much higher than the Smart Hub which leads me to think that g.inp may not be active.. I won't specify a precise model but, yes, the general, majority, opinion is that ZyXEL devices tend to perform best. Of course there are always "corner cases" which will be the exception. I had the same problem, identical down to the 73999 sync speed, except, the cab I'm connected to is a Huawei.I am currently reviewing my network at home, and have just replaced my Netgear X9000 with a new Unifi network. Whilst its in the early stages i've found it much easier to control and understand how the system is behaving. Leave the Service Name field blank if that option is present because that should not be set when using this connection type:

DrayTek Vigor 130 VDSL and ADSL2+ Ethernet Modem/Bridge

The Vigor 130 is a pre-configured VDSL2 / ADSL2+ modem that takes a VDSL2 or ADSL2+ connection and performs full pass-through / bridge to Ethernet presentation, which can then be used by a device such as a router to connect directly to the internet. For the official specification of the Vigor130, refer to this link. Some ISPs may use a VLAN tag other than VLAN tag 101, the Vigor 130 is pre-configured to use that VLAN tag on the VDSL2 interface (not ADSL) and so, if the ISP uses a different value, this needs to be changed on the modem. Personally I don't think you can get a more reliable modem at the moment on the market than the Vigor 130 in my opinion. I'm waiting for the official UK version of this - DrayTek Vigor 165 also see Vigor 165 product detailsDS Interleave Depth: Shows the Interleave depth if line is using Interleaving US Interleave Depth: Shows the Upstream Interleave depth if line is using Interleaving Each DrayTek modem is designed to offer stability and extensive compatibility across internet providers for a seamless online experience. We have two Wi-Fi modem models available, so it’s important to understand the benefits of each and choose the product that best suits your needs: NFEC This parameter reports the actual Reed-Solomon codeword size in bytes used in the latency path in which the bearer channel is transported. thanks for the message. My FFTC speed is only around the same as yours, so the 100Mbs on the 130 is still ok, however me being me I like to keep with the latest versions. And you never know PlusNet might increase those speeds one day! Virgin have a 1Gb option with their cable services in my town at the moment, however they are just so unreliable its not worth the risk at the moment. Vigor 130 modems provide BT Superfast Fibre and ADSL2+ capability and feature one LAN port. This is the standard modem design.

Vigor 130 Setup with DrayTek routers

Go to WAN >> General Setup and change Mode from Basic to "Advance", the edit the WAN interface connecting to the Vigor130: select "Enable" for VLAN Tag, and enter the VLAN ID ISP requires. Enabling Smart Queues in USG reduced buffer bloat to around 1ms, so no need for anything extra hopefully.DrayTek routers with Ethernet WAN interfaces are able to connect to a BT Infinity or other ISPs similar BT FTTC based broadband (Sometimes referred to as Fibre Broadband) service using the BT Openreach modem, which is commonly supplied with current BT FTTC installations. The BT Openreach modem converts the VDSL2 connection used by BT's FTTC service into Ethernet. An important item to note is that for the PPPoE connection a "Service Name" should not be entered. If you have this field in the configuration of the router or computer that you're using then make sure that it is left empty. Far Current Attenuation: Upstream Line / Loop attenuation Far SNR Margin: Upstream SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) value in dB Thank you for posting that Draytek explanation. I still find it difficult to understand exactly what is meant.
