Description

One of the coolest features of the GRB200RAF Gravitymaster is the internal quad sensor which features a compass, altimeter, barometer, thermometer and accelerometer. We are an independent family run jewellers, approved retailers of leading brands including TUDOR, Chopard, IWC, Breitling, TAG Heuer, Fope, Mikimoto, Gucci and Faberge. This, combined with world-renowned G-SHOCK shock resistance and ISO 200M diving water resistance, creates a structure that is highly vibration resistant and water impenetrable. A built-in direction sensor detects magnetic north displaying both this and your current direction on the watch face, Magnetic declination calibration, Measuring Range: 0 - 359 degrees, Measuring Unit: 1 degree.

The Royal Air Force x G-SHOCK GRAVITYMASTER’s bezel is made up of three layers of resin with carbon fiber inserts, with the top layer being semi-transparent to reveal the carbon material inside. This is what this watch is excellent in, very clear to read while looking great on your wrist; what else do you need from a € 900,= watch? More and more G-Shocks avoiding solar for high capacity, easily obtainable, easily changeable, button cells. I can imagine Royal Air Force personnel want to use a proper stopwatch and have readable access to Zulu (GMT) time at the least.

At least you know that it will be working after three months in a drawer and wont two two days to get going again. That means you can drop it from pretty much any height, and it will prevent contact failure and malfunction. In terms of aesthetics, it is designed and inspired by the Eurofighter Typhoon stealth aircraft which has a simple colour scheme. However it takes quite a while before the hands in this sub-register have set to zero, so you can’t just set the function to ST and start the stopwatch; depending on where the little hands are in the sub-dial it’ll take quite some seconds before you’re able to operate the stopwatch. The special edition Gravitymaster boasts design features inspired by aviation, and you can see that when you look at the three buttons on the right side of the watch.

A redesigned dial imitates the ebbs and flows of the jet’s surfaces, while the pushers on the right side of the case resemble its thrusters. Casio has partnered with the Royal Air Force to bring you a new limited-edition G-Shock Gravitymaster creation. Other nods to the RAF include its logo and custom graphics on the band keeper, as well as the military branch’s Latin motto “Per ardua ad astra” (through adversity to the stars) emblazoned on the strap itself.

It is dark grey in colour, similar to that of the aircraft's body whilst the face colours and digital display are designed to imitate a cockpit. The watch we’re reviewing here is one of G-Shock’s latest creations and is a very good example of the G-Shock evolution. Carbon core guard, mixed positioning of metal and resin buttons, awesome white accents on buttons and sensors, wonderful luminosity resembling the cockpit of Eurofighter, countless features (quad sensor with step tracker, bluetooth. As a special release, it’ll also come with an RAF-themed box with the same motto printed on the inside of the display box where the large logo sits.
