Rosenfelt's books are timeless, and I hope he continues writing his witty and very endearing Andy Carpenter series well into the future.She pulls a kid’s wish list off a tree, resolved to fulfill his wishes, and one of his wishes is to bring Dad home. So it wasn’t exactly a high-traffic area back then, and had some kids not been playing there, it might have been much longer before her whereabouts became known. Also in this book, we get an introduction to The K Team, which is made up of his investigators who decided that since Andy has been trying so hard to retire, they'd better think about their future, since they'd all be out of a job. It got her to thinking that if baseball season could last seven months, it wasn’t fair that Christmas season lasted less than half as long. Laurie’s decency and spirit of giving last year-round, but especially come out during Christmastime.
