It turns out that Renfrew wants to break the prince’s power and thus a quest with three others begins… But along the way, mythological beasts will turn on them, dire warnings will be left unheeded, and Mer’s magic may not be enough to save everyone. The fact that Charlie also managed to acquire Elizabeth's autograph for me only served to show that her impossible glamour was attainable. Okay so first thing I need to get out of the way is that this another beautiful cover illustrated by Kelly Chong, bringing my total books owned with covers featuring her art up to… I think 15?As for The Drowned Woods, I knew I needed an animal that was closer to the fairy folk and magic of Welsh legends. The Drowned Woods combines some of my favorite things–heists, spies, dogs, and a subtle romance–in all of the best ways to create a story worth obsessing over.
