About this deal

This triple distilled vodka is made in Kazakhstan with the same heroic spirit as the brave space dogs. Bottled at 40% abv, Romanov Dynasty Edition celebrates two great cultures and their interwoven history, France and Russia. Drawing in consumers from both the standard and premium segments, by either being a craft product or of better value.

Triple-distilled from wheat and filtered through silver, it's made in Kazakhstan, the country where these brave dogs were launched into space from. The vodka needed to feel like a poster; a poster that paid homage to this fantastical and heroic story. You might know the story of Belka and Strelka: two stray dogs who were plucked from the streets of Moscow, trained up and fired into space from Kazakhstan. From the Vodka you can expect some Peppery notes at the forefront infused with hints of Citrus Lemon and an Earthy undertone. Their survival was cause for celebration, Soviet pride, and a whole lot of commemorative tchotchkes, ranging from candy tins to plates to porcelain figurines.Bottled in France, the spirit drink blends together the “softest vodka with luxuriously complex” eau-de-vie de Cognac. Their journey paved the way for further exploration and, without their help, the Soviets wouldn't have been able to take the next step and send Yuri Gagarin – the world's first astronaut – up into the deep dark depths of space just one year later.

Unfortunately, she died from overheating within the first seven hours of the five-month mission—a detail that was not made public until 2002.Belka and Strelka orbited the earth 18 times aboard Sputnik 5 on 19th August 1960 before landing safely back on earth as canine heroes. This dynamic duo of dogs ventured out into space aboard the Sputnik, orbiting Earth 18 times before safely landing. This Kazakhstan vodka is named after the world's first cosmonauts, two dogs who were launched into space from Baikanur in Kazakhstan. Although they may be dogs, these brave animals gave hope and inspiration to the future of mankind, they went to space and back in 1960 aboard Sputnik 5.
