About this deal

Train features an engine with opening cockpit and 2 passenger cars with removable roofs and space for 10 passengers. Assuming this is a forthcoming set, the engine is appealing; more appealing is having battery boxes in different colours. Maybe Lego realised that trains are wanted by all and thought hey, we have never done a maintance train before or at least in the last decade - now who wants to see a new train shed eh ? I'm American and it's obviously European but I've spent some time 'on the Continent' and have been to many rail museums there. LEGO, the LEGO logo, the Minifigure, DUPLO, the FRIENDS logo, the MINIFIGURES logo, DREAMZzz, NINJAGO, VIDIYO and MINDSTORMS are trademarks of the LEGO Group.

Action bricks allow the train to stop, reverse, refuel, and add light and sound – just like a real steam train! So it seems LEGO reacts, but that's kinda fast to respond, isn't there a lead time of about 1-2 years for new sets?

Two years later the LEGO Group introduces the LEGO wheel, which has a huge impact on the LEGO System in Play. I'm pretty sure the locomotive is modelled on the NS class 6400 produced for the Dutch state owned railway in the late 80s and early 90s. Show your preschooler how easy it is to place the red action brick on the track to make any compatible train, such as the 10874 Steam Train or 10875 Cargo Train, stop when it reaches it.

Contact Us LEGO, the LEGO logo, the Minifigure, and the Brick and Knob configurations are trademarks of the LEGO Group of Companies. Watch how a kid’s play world merges with the daily life of a train driver – complete with oversize fish, cranes and sea gulls. A train for every age group – Children love to play with a LEGO train because they build it themselves. This tough motorized train with an 8-channel, 7-speed infrared remote control can haul just about anything! launched in 2008, and in 2013, with the birth of the LEGO Creator Expert line, the train with the highest number of elements to date is introduced: set no.Introduction of this new component brings motion to LEGO play plus the ability to launch a movable brick-built train. I cannot say that I have studied them in any great details, but I have noted that several seem to consist of various types of flatbed with a little cabin at one or both ends and numerous bits of gubbins in the middle, usually a small crane or hydraulic platform, that kind of thing. Well it has a red and white battery box, and what appears to be a red and white IR receiver at the back. Cool, another train, it's starting to look like 1981 :) (when there were two 12V passenger trains, a 12V freight train with steam engine, a 12V steam engine, a 12V diesel engine, a 4,5V freight train and a push along passenger train with steam engine.

Not so keen on the tipper wagon or the conveyor thing, it could have been so much better but I guess they were confined by the bit count / cost of the set. It is remotely controlled, and although you need a large number of AAA batteries, it works extremely well. Use this set with the 10874 Steam Train or 10875 Cargo Train to extend the possibilities of your LEGO® DUPLO® train collection. After present LEGO owner Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen differentiates the LEGO product range by introducing product lines like Castle and Space for the first time in 1978, a specialized product line for trains is introduced in 1980.It would be interesting to find out in all honesty how these things work and what they are actually used for as there seems to be a prolific amount of them dotted around the south coast of the UK. In the marketing material the product is introduced as: “The train that drives when the whistle goes – LEGO battery train with integral electronic unit, drives when you blow a special whistle.

In 2009, the LEGO Group invites a group of AFOLs (Adult Fans of LEGO) to Billund, Denmark, to discuss the design of a new train model with LEGO designers. When laid on the track, the green action brick will reverse the train every time the train encounters it. The LEGO® City High-Speed Passenger Train (60051) was retired in July 2018, but we have many new additions to our collection of trains. The train is primarily red in color, with a white stripe on the bottom, some black sections and it consists of three separate parts. On a solid floor it will stand up better, but on solid floor the track slides as the train goes round.

The extensive uses of the new parts, and the not-too-complex building style which has quite some room for improvement and better use of color (particularly for the bulk cargo loading tower thing with conveyor belt. For this project, I made a quaint micro build 83-piece set which contains a red train with a coal car, and a funnel. I built this because when I was younger I loved trains and thought that this would be a nice fun build to make.
