There are closer Aventus clones like AH L'Aventure or Afnan Supremacy Not Only Intense and higher quality clones/impressions like Hacivat or Explorer. I've had mine for a few days now and it smelled fine a few days ago but suddenly it turned into something more dirty. Opening, mid, or close, this fragrance has so much to offer and I would highly recommend this to anyone who has yet to smell it or pick up a bottle.

The opening of Aventus is my absolute favorite, and this is about 65% similar to to it, the biggest drawback is the “lemon pledge” smell everyone talks about in the opening. One of my favorite benefits of collecting and wearing fragrances is how they time stamp the nostalgia to the scent and it's amazing to me how smelling the scent again brings back those. If you enjoy this style of fragrance, be sure to also check out Shaikh No 70 and its very affordable clone Al Rehab Sultan - they offer a similar woody, smoky vibe with added fresh pine and sap notes. I tried to scrub it off with soap and water so that it wasn't overbearing while at work, but man was this stuff persistent! I only bring it up because these are the only 3 fragrances I can recommend 1000% for men, although I would recommend getting a sample of Carlisle since it is quite expensive indeed, and notoriously takes a couple of tries for most people before REALLY being able to appreciate its glory.But if I just go ahead and spray it on my neck and clothes I spare myself of that and it smells heavenly and classy! That is, when inhaling from any distance, the first two seconds I feel notes of pineapple, apple, citrus fruits and then the strong smell of diesel begins to hit my nose.

I think you definitely should go for other dupes like Montblanc Explorer even tho it doesn't last as long. It seems strange (and I do have a variety of other fragrances) but these ones give me a bit of an energy boost. Yes, the pure parfum doesn't have the extreme lemony opening of the edt and I hate the smell of lemon. For the mids, I’m getting pencil like cedar, hedione and maybe some kind of pepper, maybe just a touch or black currant or cassis.Very interesting fragrance, one that I dislike on the first time or so wearing but grew to really like. When I first bought this the citrus top was way too much for me to handle, and over all, it smelled like an over the top chemical mess. This is heavily focused on synthetic and harsh fruit note wich remind me of some kind of toilet cube. Smooth and well blended, a smoother opening (not quite as refined as Aventus tho‘, but pretty neat) and just a perfect balance of fruitiness and smokiness in the drydown. The opening for me is a bit strong with birch but it doesn't seem to be a problem for those around me.
