Numark’s all-new NS4FX feels like a bigger brother to the very-solid Mixtrack Platinum FX, and DJs of all skill levels (especially those who might be graduating from a Mixtrack) will feel right at home. The NS4FX currently supports Serato DJ Lite, Serato DJ Pro (upgrade needed), Virtual DJ, and Algoriddim’s DJay Pro. To add additional flavour and creativity, the interactive FX section features 6 quick-launch software effects that are triggered by using the sturdy and fun paddle toggle switches.

The 16 Performance pads offer limitless mixing possibilities with selectable pad modes including Cue, Auto Loop, Fader Cuts, and Sampler (additional pad modes can be unlocked with Serato DJ Pro). Unlike conventional speakers that use vibration-prone plastic cabinets, the Elevate 4’s dense wood cabinets suppress clarity-robbing resonances, resulting in clearer sound and stronger bass. It can get tricky to mix four tracks with only two decks, as switching between the layers can confuse most pro DJs. However, it is worth noting that there’s a slight catch in terms of the controller’s four-deck functionality, which is that Serato DJ Lite only allows you to use two decks. This package bundles a pair of BX4 monitor speakers with Numark's newest controller, a suitable setup for live streaming without the neighbours rising in revolt.

Serato is a great software platform of course, but the NS4FX also works with VirtualDJ and Algoriddim’s djay Pro AI. The loop sections feature multipliers, allowing you to quickly generate loops and create build-ups and transitions.
