I don't know if it was this version or the Le Premier, but all I remember is myself and others absolutely hating it to the point where my mom made me stop wearing it. During the Christmas holidays that year, I invited my staff to my house for an early holiday celebration (that woman RSVPd for the party, I knew I was in trouble then) That chick was determined to leave me with no perfumes. This scent can be pretty dense, on the verge of cloying if applied with too heavy a hand, 1-2 sprays is plenty. That slight green ivy note truly takes this scent from a "lolita" candy girl type scent to full-blown forest nymph glory. Its close to Guerlain's La petite Robe, but much better and is less sour cherry, that was so atrocious/sharp in La petite.

That woman is a genius, having also created my close-second love, Dior Hypnotic Poison, as well as the best of the LL flankers. i can see how the powderiness, which reminds me a little of vintage velvet, might be a dealbreaker for some.
