There's also a brand new Ilchester Red Leicester with Black Pepper cheese to open: This smooth and nutty traditional English cheese is flecked with cracked black pepper to give a delicious savoury, smooth flavour and a little bite.

The first advent parcel will be delivered on 30 November, followed by the second on 8 December and the final installment on 15 December. Ilchester Vintage PDO Cheddar – Carefully matured, this cheddar is made in the West Country near the Mendip Hills. Standing the test of time, Applewood® was first created in 1965 in the heart of South West England, retaining an enthusiastic fan club to this day. Niederegger marzipan is made in Germany, from 100% finest marzipan paste, made using traditional roasting cauldrons and with production supervised by a master confectioner, so it's definitely an advent calendar for foodies.

Ilchester Cheddar with Apple, Onion and Sage – A versatile and uniquely flavored British Cheddar, carefully blended for a well-rounded deliciously sweet Apple flavor, with scrumptious savory notes from the onion and aromatic sage. A unique ‘book style’ packaging design, allowing one half to be torn off after the initial 12 days of Christmas to maximise fridge space. The Cheese Advent Calendar prototype was handmade in 2016 by So Wrong It’s Nom founder, Annem Hobson. We have improved the calendar and taken our previous offering of 9 varieties of cheese to a delicious 11 cheeses! Mexicana – Featuring a fiery mix of bell, jalapeño and chilli peppers, this cheese is a punchy blend of traditional British Cheddar and a secret mix of Mexican spices.Applewood Vintage PDO Aged for 12 months – This delicious cheese is made from traditional hand-turned British Farmhouse Cheddar. I know that sounds kind of nuts, but I really didn’t set out to turn this into something as big as it has become. New for this year - Ilchester Cheddar with Caramelised Onion: This delicious British cheddar infused with caramelised onions has an exquisite combination of sweet and sharp flavours throughout. and sampling cheeses in an advent calendar countdown style is a great idea - it means you can have a bit of cheese a day - perfect if you’re a true cheese fan.

Applewood Vintage PDO* (Aged for 12 months): Traditional hand-turned farmhouse Cheddar and finished with a sprinkling of paprika, this creamy yellow cheese has a predominantly smoky flavour with an exquisitely smooth, rich creaminess. Ilchester Aged Red Leicester – This traditional English cheese has been carefully matured for a minimum of 9 months giving it a distinguishable smooth, tangy and nutty taste. When we surveyed you via the newsletter, it was clear that many of you gift the cheese advent calendar or have it as a treat for yourself – so we’ve tweaked the packaging to make it feel super special, with festive touches of gold standing out against a vibrant red.
