Description

It has a nice wheel to control volume, and a dedicated Windows lock key to make sure your game doesn't accidentally minimize when playing. Both keyboards feature impressive RGB illumination, dedicated macro keys, convenient media controls, a USB passthrough, a gaming mode, 100% anti-ghosting and more.

You also get USB passthrough so you can connect an additional USB device directly into the keyboard. They're lighter in colour, contoured, and textured, which isn't a bad idea, as it's quite natural to reach for one of these instead of the Ctrl key if you're not looking, and this helps prevent that. org was created with the goal, to offer the most comprehensive list of mechanical keyboards in the web. The Cherry MX Speed switches and an ungodly amount of LED lighting sit above the aluminum deck, meaning its array of lights are super bright, dancing off the dark aluminum finish. Two of the three options --MX Speed and MX Brown-- have been upgraded for even greater reliability, with the promise to stand up to 100 million keystrokes. Along the top-left edge, the K95 features three buttons: a quick-select for user profiles, a quick brightness adjustment, and a button for locking the Windows key.

Sturdiness – I find it far more difficult to break certain components as opposed to cheap plastic alternatives. But it’s nice that I can use these devices from the top of my desk without climbing under it to my computer to plug in something temporarily. The macro keys have the exact same textured finish and while I did accidentally hit the first macro key while intending to hit Escape more than a few times, I wouldn't mark it as an overall deterrent. If you’re a gamer who doesn’t plan on typing a whole lot, this keyboard could be absolutely perfect for you.If you're the type of person who enjoys a single, static color in the background the K95 will let you do that, of course. Corsair bought Elgato back in mid-2018 and its hardware and software popular among game streamers and YouTubers. The Corsair K95 PLATINUM and the Corsair K70 RGB PRO are both wired, mechanical gaming keyboards that perform similarly but have some slight differences.

Wrist Rest: The K95 Platinum RGB XT comes with a detachable plush wrist rest that snaps into the keyboard.I did manage to find several online tutorials about creating your own profiles with the gaming keyboard. The Corsair comes with a wrist rest, it has dedicated macro keys, and the Cherry MX Speed switches we tested have a much lower pre-travel distance.

The SteelSeries features a small OLED screen on the top right corner that can be programmed to display a wide variety of things.

Typing on the Cherry MX Brown switches feels much better to type on than the Cherry MX Speed on the Corsair, though both keyboards can be purchased with different types of switches. The Corsair K95 PLATINUM and the Corsair K100 RGB are both outstanding gaming keyboards with similar features. Using the iCue software, you can change the color of the LEDs using either RGB, hexadecimal code or the color wheel provided. It's also only available with MX Speed or Brown switches, which doesn't offer as much variety as other options on the market.
