Installed in time to use on our 2 week road trip. Worked perfectly running everything/charging all our devices, and even would run our dometic penguin ii a/c. Installation was straight forward, but does take time to wire everything together. Interestingly, the positives come with two cables, and I’m wondering whether Renogy expect you to run two cables to the inverter. Either way, its not the right way of doing things and you are better off replacing the cables with something much heavier duty. Now, I never really noticed this as both of our inverters are in spots where I either can’t hear them at all, or you’d have to stand really close to hear it. The 2000 and 3000W inverters are big units, and need a LOT of space to mount them suitably, but I’ve had zero issues with both, and don’t expect to have any going forward. In my opinion Renogy is very under-rated, and I expect they’ll do very well in Australia over the coming years. Time will tell.

Have been away haven't installed yet.Have other Renogy products which l have been very happy with hope this will be the same. Would highly recommend their products. The Dmax one is used for charging camera gear, Ryobi batteries, drone gear, and occasionally our induction cooktop, toasted sandwich machine, toaster or other random gear. This is a monster of Inverter, I used this to run my Amateur Radio Station(Ham Radio) and accessories. I need to add a second battery for those cloudy days but other than this Renogy recommends 2 (two) 170-ah batteries are dead on! Get this if you want to have reserve power for your 120v needs and with its 6000 watts surge this can run a lot of gear or equipment. Works has it should here in the UK.Using to beat the energy prices here charge battery bank on cheap rate over night electric 75% cheaper over night.I’m surprised that the Renogy inverter kit doesn’t come with a fuse. You should always run one, and having to buy your own is a bit average when many other kits come with them. Again, its not the end of the world, but you need a fuse and will have to get one. The fan runs regardless of temperature In our scenario this is irrelevant and I couldn’t care less, but if you had one mounted under your bed, or near your head in a camper trailer it would probably be quite annoying. I’ve read of people wiring them up to a temperature sender (so it only comes on when its warm), but from the factory they come on and off a lot. Renogy Inverter Review This would say that their tech support wasn’t correct, but I didn’t push that hard and they’re sending a replacement. It’s a win from our end, and the other unit still seems to be working OK, so lets see how it goes.

Running a 2000W fan heater from our 2000W Renogy inverter in the Isuzu Dmax In both instances, when I pulled the cables out of the Renogy Inverter boxes, I wondered whether they were the correct size. Our auto electrician specifically mentioned they were under sized, and ran two new cables for both inverter installation. Renogy 12v to 240v inverters also provide overload protection for both DC input and AC output to prevent damage to the components and the unit. Very easy to install in my rv instructions were easy to understand and it runs my fridge 24 7 no problem will be adding in rest of trailer but that's not much compared to a fridge. So I am very happy with this product and highly recommend it. If it's got the Renogy name you know your getting good energy. Lol sorry for the pun

The AC priority switch function enables the inverter automatically switch from the battery (DC) to the mains (AC) and vice-vercer whenever the utility company takes/loses power! They are considered to be decent quality gear, and their pricing makes it incredible value. To put it into perspective, I paid more for my 400W Enerdrive Inverter than I did for the 3000W Renogy one! I bought the 3000W version of this unit and I’m very pleased with the quality. Works great and has a solid construction. The 3kW unit is quite large so take that into account. The remote switch has a long cable which makes this a nice added touch. When shopping for an inverter, there are two main options to choose from: pure sine wave and modified sine wave inverters. I was Using an old Ingersoll rand, and since I switched to the renogy 3000 watt charger/inverter I haven’t even begun to use the capacity of this inverter. A fridge is definitely on my Christmas list, lol. Some time ago we did a major upgrade of our 12V electrics, in both our Isuzu Dmax and Reconn R2 Hybrid Caravan. Both received lithium batteries, new chargers and a Renogy Inverter each. The 3000W Renogy Inverter in the camper is primarily used for the induction cooktop, and running our toaster and laptops. How much are the Renogy Inverters?

Modified Sine Wave Inverters:

I used this as part of a small solar system for my shed. The inverter came with nice cables and was well made. I tested the outputs with a meter and they were spot on with clean power. specifically all wiring is behind the end face making this a very clean looking set up. I will have to see how it works for me and my application but that is why I bought from a trusted company like Renogy. The bigger one is mounted in our Reconn R2 Hybrid Camper, and the 2000W one is in the Ute Canopy of our Isuzu Dmax.
