You can’t swim.” He takes in Taehyung’s anxiousness and shifts on the tiles. “You can stay here as long as you need, hyung.”But this is shit,” Taehyung says, pointing to the television. He unfolds himself and stands. “Can I take a shower?” Taehyung sits up and smiles at him. In the shallows, Jungkook can see moonlight glancing off his tail. “Hmm, Kookie?” They eat and drink their way short of oblivion and stumble out of the restaurant a good few hours later, laughing. Yoongi and Jimin argue over whether they should go to a bar or noraebang next and Taehyung watches on with parted lips and flushed cheeks and wide eyes - and eventually claps his hands together and starts to laugh loudly. Jungkook looks at Taehyung beside him to see him staring forlornly at the dishes being placed on the table. “Yeah, hyung.”

They took Jungkook a while to find - Taehyung explained they’re easier to see when wet but wet gills means a tail, apparently - and now he’s kinda fascinated about how easily they blend in with the smooth expanse of Taehyung’s skin.
