I Love everything about the Night Crawler Action figure and I highly recommend it to other Collectors. Finally, we’ve got a figure whose success will really depend on the release of the new animated series, in my opinion. The teeth have a little slop that I don’t notice in hand but becomes more obvious with close up photos.

I think some artists tended to draw Kurt with more aquiline nose or stronger jaw, but these portraits feel like a better match for Cockrum’s work on the original Nightcrawler mini-series or the above mentioned McGuinness. The articulation on this figure is aces, the proportions are spot-on, the three heads are a delight, and it just feels so good to see a 6” Nightcrawler on shelves again. Despite his good heart and gentle nature, swashbuckling teleporter Nightcrawler is often demonised for his physical mutations, including his indigo fur and a prehensile tail. If Hasbro quit and never made anymore X-men figures, I would be OK and possibly feel like my collection was complete. That was a terrific figure that stands the test of time, but Hasbro was finally ready to release their own Kurt Wagner this year!

This version looked to top all previous versions, so I had to (over)pay for it when I saw it at a vendor last weekend at SDCC. X-Cutioner, Goblin Queen and that iconic version of Magneto (although not necessarily good iconic) are awesome enough, but throw in the Jean Grey, Cyclops and Nightcrawler, and I am ALL IN for this wave. I really enjoyed wave 1 of this line, despite the lack of accessories, but this second wave blows my mind.Kurt’s V-shaped vest is painted on below the chest, but sculpted above it and it flares out from the shoulders.

For the very first time, we’ll be getting Marvel Legends Madelyne Pryor and X-Cutioner figures as part of this lineup! There’s also a sword and an interchangeable sword-grasping hand included (the standard right hand is a sort of fist). The other thing that has my disappointed about this figure is what’s not included: any kind of teleportation power effects piece. Nightcrawler is my hands-down, favorite X-Man, if not my favorite comic book character altogether, but I have never really loved any of his action figures.Hasbro has been servicing X-Men fans like never before the last few years, and so it was only a matter of time until they got around to releasing everyone’s favorite fuzzy elf himself—Nightcrawler! In addition to two extra heads and an extra right hand, Nightcrawler comes with his swashbuckling sword. The upper upper torso uses red plastic to get a bright red than the lower parts of the body, but the colors look good overall.

As for articulation, Hasbro graced Nightcrawler with one of the more poseable bodies, which includes the lateral crunches on the shoulders. Fans can showcase their Marvel Legends X-Men figure on the shelf with its collectible packaging, which features a retro-style blister card.
