I love how it has the power of stealing your worries away, putting a smile on your face even when smiling is the last thing on your mind, and of course sometimes making you crush on fictional characters.

He’s so soft for her, he folds every time Rose wants anything and it’s just the most wholesome thing EVER. It was also one of the beefiest books I had read at the time, and trends have definitely moved in that direction these days. We walked away from this story with hearts that were full of warmth in this entertaining, sexy and fabulously fun read! Her boyfriend broke up with her few weeks ago and now a blue eyed stranger is asking her to marry him out of the blue.those brief intimate moments between them perfectly built up to their first kiss, then their first sexual interaction and none of it felt rushed or too drawn out. I am so happy for her that she found Jack because all her life she thought she had no one by her side, no family. So he's okay with a relationship founded on some unspecified lie that we know, because we're visiting romancelandia, will come out at the worst possible time so that we get some stupid dark moment that is manipulated first by the author and second by the stupid coward I'm supposed to like. Add in the secondary characters (Rose's two assistants) with everything crossed I hope we get their book! Meaning he might not talk too much, but his actions speak the loudest and at the end, I believe that’s what matters in a relationship.

The blog has since had well over one million views, but my reading preferences haven’t changed all that much. Rose had a meltdown, treating Jack like shit and walking away from him even though he let her know how he had been taken with her from the very first sight of her, and he explained how he had done everything he could in his power to protect her from so many others willing to hurt her. That being said, he is a prickly, sometimes arrogant and aloof guy whereas Rose, the heroine is just the opposite. And it's so repetitive, she ends every chapter with: "The amount of times Jack smiled today: zero" and it's really annoying after the millionth time.Jennifer Crusie blogged about it a bit back (or, if that link doesn't work, here's a cache of the original) and it changed how I understand story. Paired with the detailed descriptions of everyday tasks and simple events, and if you’re not feeling the story it will go off the rails in a big way. They had a conversation about what type of couple they want to be and their five year plan 😭😭😭😭 What they have can’t be beat.
