Perhaps i don't notice these things in western books because western books are subconsciously thought of as rational and objective + I am more familiar with western books.

Umm, Shriek al-Dawsiyah (RA) very discreetly worked among the women of the tribe of Quraish to spread Islam. She did not meekly stand aside but joined in the struggle in defence of her father and his noble mission. Plus, there’s no consistency between transliterations: multiple different spellings will be used for the same name, which is just confusing.

There are many more stories likes this that will encourage our Islamic sisters to get more knowledge about such great women.
