The three cask types of American White Oak casks, Traditional casks and Ex-Sherry casks have been married in varying proportions to produce three unique whiskies: Distiller’s Reserve, White Oak Reserve and Rare Cask. The Glenlivet DISTILLER'S RESERVE Triple Cask Matured Single Malt Scotch Whisky gets its special sweet yet spicy taste from a maturation process that takes place in 3 different casks. The Rare Cask is The Glenlivet's most exceptional triple cask expression and has a very high proportion of hand selcted First Fill Ex- Sherry casks which impart depth with intense spice and rich and dry fruity notes. Originally released as part of Glenlivet's Travel Retail market offering, the Triple Cask Matured Distiller's Reserve expression brings together whisky matured in three different types of cask - traditional casks, American white oak casks and ex-sherry casks. It was the third vintage released by the distillery and its aesthetics, nose and palate are equally special.Bottles in this Auction are never classed as brand new and Boxes/Bottles/Packaging etc may have marks or creases due to their age. The Glenlivet distillery is a distillery near Ballindalloch in Moray, Scotland that produces single malt Scotch whisky.They have ensured that the whiskies from the three different casks have an equal and harmonious impact on the taste to which results in a delicate balance between smooth and fruity notes. The distillery remained open throughout the Great Depression and its only closure came during World War II. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.

Matured solely in sherry casks, it brings deep, rich notes of winter fruits, sticky toffee, raisins and honey together with a range of oaky spices.
