Jumping on the back of a wonderful success that was the 2005 Ashes series isn't a bad thing, but when it's a quite boring recounting of a barely-lived life, it can be rather tedious to get through. At 43 years of age, and with a bit more time on his hands than usual, Freddie Flintoff has had a moment to reflect and he's noticed that, although there's been little method in the madness, there has been the occasional common thread. All items sent via courier will require a signature and cannot be left in a safe place or with neighbours. His recounting of his struggles with injuries, fitness, and form shows how human he is in spite of all his achievements in the game. If you are expecting a book about cricket, you will be disappointed, but it is a fascinating insight into the character of an individual to whom success and fame came at an early age, and who has now had the opportunity to reflect on his life.

Personal challenges and low points are touched upon but not thoroughly explored, leaving some questions unanswered. Following his retirement from sport, he joined the panel of BAFTA-winning A League of Their Own and is a presenter on BBC's ever-popular and award-winning Top Gear .I thought this book was really funny, Freddie Flintoff is such a funny character and I learnt alot about him that I didn't even know about. This amount includes seller specified domestic postage charges as well as applicable international postage, dispatch, and other fees. A good recounting of his rise to become one of the best cricketers of his generation, culminating in the 2005 Ashes series between England and Australian.

Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff is one of the most exciting cricketers in the world and has improved out of all recognition during the last two years. This book marks his story so far in his own words, taking us up to and including the summer of 2005, during which Flintoff has performed heroics with both bat and ball against Australia. This is his way of giving his readers a laugh, some joy, and (the occasional) pause for thought along the way. It was actually a collections of opinions and it was an interesting glipse into the mind of Andrew Flintoff. In conclusion, "Being Freddie" is a middling memoir that offers cricket fans some insights into Andrew Flintoff's life but ultimately falls short of delivering a truly immersive and introspective narrative.

I do love Freddie, and even now, ten years on, he's still one of England's best players and the one fans will always love, but his life and career isn't particularly a good thing to be read about. The storytelling lacks the depth and introspection that could have provided readers with a more profound understanding of the man behind the cricketing legend. Although I thought this was going to be a book mainly about cricket, it is more a personal insight into a person who, away from the cricket field and television cameras, is a very private character with much the same doubts and insecurities as most people.
