About this deal

This story proceeds at a breathless pace, springing surprises at every turn and building up the tension to an almost unbearable level. Once I truly sat down and started reading, I couldn’t put the book down and I have to say the story haunted me.

Incredibly, despite the fact they live only half a mile apart, Twain says she has never run into her former friend. is still trying to be in the thick of things, but she starts to realize that she mustn’t, and can’t do it all. With the discovery of links to other missing girls, DD suspected Flora had something to do with it all. We learn what it was like to be held for 472 days -- starvation, rapes, beatings -- and what it has taken to pull herself back together. Her friend from primary school, Beth, has taken up with Amelia, and they’re always giggling together. We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the Traditional Custodians of the land and acknowledge and pay respect to their Elders, past and present. I am totally hooked on Lisa Gardner’s books and this one was thrilling and kept me on the edge of my seat!

I have read several Lisa Gardner books and many of the Detective DD Warren series so I was keen to read this latest one in the series, N0. You can also listen on any Alexa-enabled device, compatible Fire tablets, Kindles, Sonos devices and more. These books aimed at 11-13 year olds contain themes around friendships and overcoming a variety of challenges, as well as starting at a new school. Twain and Lange had a son, Eja (pronounced Asia), in 2001, and she planned herself some family time.

She was fancied by the straight boys, admired by the straight girls, adored by gay men as a camp icon and loved by lesbians who read what they wanted into Man! As a sergeant she only had to supervise instead of in hands-on investigating as a detective but she couldn’t leave it. Now five years later Flora will not be a victim again, quite the opposite, she’s obsessed with cases of missing girls. The author's self-imposed expectations, in combination with the expectations imposed on her by her, church and a conservative mid-western society led to decades of inner turmoil. It all came together with a great ending and a reminder to never underestimate the power of a promise.

I picked up Find Her after seeing a positive review and was intrigued by the story, which is that Flora Dane had been abducted while on Spring Break in Florida and held captive for more than 400 days. She has a mother who’s never stopped loving her, a brother who is scared of the person she’s become, and a bedroom wall, covered with photos of other girls who’ve never made it home.Where there are no living members of family every effort has been made to seek consent from relevant members of the community.

What we find out is a lot of creepy information about Flora I would rather go into lets just say she is a piece of work!

When new evidence reveals an elaborate conspiracy, forcing Emily into a deadly spotlight, Mitch will have to make the ultimate sacrifice if he’s to bring her little boy home. It was my first Lisa Gardner book, so I can't compare it to others in the series, but the plot moved along quickly and kept me hooked enough to keep reading.
