I adore the bottle too, I know some people may think it looks tacky but I love the sleek black with the pop of hot pink. It’s very true to Britney’s formula of sweet but musky or woody scents, but still manages to be different from her other fragrances. The third time (yes, I went back for more lol) it really seemed like a mixture of Fantasy and Private Show. Also I wouldn’t describe this is traditionally unisex (although EVERY scent is of course unisex) in that it leans a lot more sweet and feminine than a traditional unisex fragrance. IF I had to identify a perfume that it's close to in my mind, it somewhat makes me think of Avon's Perceive. And as the watery floral mix fades, the cedar joins the sandalwood and overtakes everything else, except for a breeze of musk.there is no middle notes to me at all - after the top notes are gone, all i smell is heavy manly musk with a slight - "oh - why is this super comforting? Average potency/sillage, cute bottle, but it's a mix of Private Show and Black Opium and then watered WAY down. The woody, peppery notes become the prominent scent, and at this stage it starts to smell less feminine.

I pick up the apricot, a bit of coffee and saffron and then it settles into a soft, sweet Amber/sandalwood. As I was waiting, I saw a tester of this sitting on the counter, so I just sprayed it because I wanted to smell good as we were going to the trendy clubs. I would say that "Prerogative" is considerably less 'feminine' of a fragrance than "Black Opium", and "Black Opium" definitely wins on the longevity stakes. I wouldn't say the two fragrances were "related"--more like they were dormmates in college, and hung out enough that they picked up a couple of common traits. I thought it was the coffee note in the OG giving this stale smell, but no coffee here so Im guessing is the sandalwood being a bad quality or something. Prerogative is a gourmand perfume that resembles her Private Show and even a bit the aroma of the reformulation of her Fantasy. Very lovely scent, a bit similar to black Opium but I’m not getting the coffee notes like others are saying. I have a Hidden Fantasy body spray and it smells identical to the perfume and I thought I'd be able to do some prejudging by smelling the body spray first.

As for comparisons to Black Opium, this is similar although less complex but better value for money given their roughly equal performance. I have had this for a couple months now and I’ve loved it the whole time but today it smelled different. This actually does remind me a lot of Black Opium, but I feel a lot less strong and slightly more clean and fruity. It opens as L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil, then it turned into a knockoff Cacharel amor amor, and then it really took a turn for the bad and ended up being a weak hypnotic poison.

I guess if you can get it for cheap it's ok, but it was very expensive in my country, so it was very frustrating to find it doesn't last.The spicier, more masculine accords don't play a huge role in this scent's composition, so the overall result is quite feminine and sugary-sweet. I get almost zero of the promised espresso foam or pink pepper, just a common fruity note with musk, reminds me of exclamation by coty. Its longevity is very poor, 3 hours, and its sillage is moderate, it makes itself felt but I don't understand the concept of Eau de parfum, it is almost like an eau fraiche, very weak. The best way to describe it is some white flowers mixed with a caramel like note similar to the smell of Nescafe 3 in 1.
