Description

The Bluetooth on the Evolve2 is version 5.2, supports the pairing of the headphones with up to eight different devices and can connect to two of those at any one time. This functionality allows you to use two different computers or devices, and seamlessly transition between them. The Evolve2 75 uses an up-to-date version of Bluetooth that carries with it some advantages over v4.2 that’s used on the Evolve 75.

A sufficiently simple layout that most people should embrace after receiving a relatively short walkthrough on how to operate them. What especially impressed us was how easily these can be placed on the charger, reducing the possibilities of those awkward moments when you arrive for work and then realise that the headset isn’t charged. It appears that Jabra took notice of this magnet issue because when designing the Evolve2 75, they did away with this feature entirely. Instead, they went with a totally new design where the mic boom on the Evolve2 75 stows out of sight into a compartment on the ear cup housing. Simply slide the boom arm up, and into the cavity, and it’s now out of the way for those times when you’re not on a call, and don't need the use of a microphone. Everything about the new design is smoother and more elegant, with a shorter retractable microphone boom and a discrete charging base. For those using these on a Windows PC or Apple Mac, Jabra provides Jabra Direct, a tool to manage the headphones and apply firmware enhancements when required. Softphone support is provided by default for Microsoft Teams, and Zoom on the MS Teams variant. These should also work well with Skype and Mitac, amongst other popular tools.

The microphone boom arm magnetically attaches to the side of the headband to keep it out of the way when a microphone isn't needed. Overall, these sounded much better than we’d anticipated, and we can see no good reason why these couldn’t be used for other purposes than conference calls when the need arises. The Jabra Revolve 75 offer great sound quality for calls and music with the impressive noise cancelling. It’s comfortable, simple and efficiently does what it is made to do. Comes with all the necessary features and an impressive battery performance. We disliked

Like the original Evolve 75 but even better

While this headset might be inherently easier for a right-handed person to use, this bias isn’t as evident as we’ve seen elsewhere, and the button selection is reasonably well dispersed between the two sides. As with any wireless device, batteries play an important role, and I feel safe in saying most of us want as much battery life as we can get. If you’re among those that do, then clearly the Jabra Evolve2 75 will be a headset you’ll be far more interested in. Though it takes a little longer to recharge, that, in my view, is offset by the additional talk and listening time you get on the Evolve2 75. And with the extended talk time, you'll recharge less often too. USB Connectivity The Jabra Evolve 75 has a noise cancelling uni-directional ECM microphone that can be placed on the right or left side.

Whether the Jabra Evolve 75 is right for you comes down to your needs. If seamless operation when connected to a computer and a phone is most important, we find the Plantronics Voyager 4220 UC to be a stronger option. Both the Voyager 4220 UC and the Evolve 75 offer high-quality audio performance, but if your priorities include active noise cancellation, that's an area where the Evolve 75 shines and the Voyager 4220 UC has nothing to offer. The Voyager 4220 UC has an app that allows you to fine-tune settings, vocal prompts, and overall operability, while the Evolve 75 has been designed to integrate with call service software your business may already be using. If you are in for an enterprise-centric noise cancellation headphones with immersive audio experience and great battery life, here is one for you. Jabra aims to offer flawless voice and sound quality for smooth conversations and improved concentration, and Evolve 75 is justifying it. Both headsets are stated to provide up to 100 feet (30 meters) of wireless range. So, you should expect both to provide you with an equal amount of distance to walk and talk. Neither headset has an advantage here, but the amount of wireless range you should expect really comes down to your environment, and the type, and number of obstructions because obstructions are known to reduce wireless range. Weight - Heavyweight, Lightweight or something in between They’re also a significant improvement over the original Evolve 75 design, not that those are bad in any significant way. So if you like class over a little funk, then these headphones will definitely satisfy you aesthetically. Users who are uncomfortable with smaller ear cups may not like the fit as this one won't cover them fully. Other than this, you must note that these headphones are portable but you’ll still can’t carry them in your hand. Performance
