I'm convinced that (the songs) "Escape," and "Creeping Death," weren't made by Metallica, but by a symphonic metal band playing speed metal. FWIW, I purchased it new and while it came with the merchandise flyer it also came in a clear plastic inner, not the printed one. Related Artists - Beatallica, Echobrain, Goudie, Kirk Hammett, Newsted, Systematic (US), The Moss Brothers, Voivod.UMR/Mercury are pressing 11 of Metallica’s studio album back catalogue on custom coloured vinyl for the first time for World ex North America; following the 2021 Walmart exclusive coloured vinyl series in the US. The artwork, based on a concept by the band, depicts an electric chair being struck by lightning flowing from the band logo. No matter what anyone may say about their Load/Reload or St Anger records and their faults, this is true Metallica and is a credit to the band! The riffs and arrangements are moreintricate, the lyrics are more intelligent and biting and James Hetfield's growl is meaner. The set starts out with two tunes that would have been right at home on Kill 'em All, but the next two are slower and more involved. Hetfield himself is also responsible for bringing down his own riffs by trying to sing like Rob Halford. Metallica promoted the album on the Bang That Head That Doesn't Bang European tour in late 1984, and on its North American leg in the first half of 1985.
