The first question implies that there is no hook or line that is able to draw Leviathan out of the deep to land (v. 1). Not only does Leviathan live in the depths, but he is also so strong and powerful as to break any line or hook that man would use to snare him and draw him out. The greatest battle you will ever fight is against pride. Leviathan is an awesome foe. Don’t underestimate his strength and power. Once you enter into battle with this spirit, you will remember the struggle (Job 41:8). The Lord is giving us a picture of pride and showing us our inability to do battle with him. How desperately we need to depend upon the Lord. We are too weak to fight the enemy without the Lord’s help. We must submit and humble ourselves under the Lord to experience victory. In the film, he appears as the great and wise ruler of the Pride Lands. There, he lives happily with his mate, Sarabi, and their son, Simba. However, Mufasa's brother, Scar, secretly envies his reign as ruler of the Pride Lands and desires to overthrow him. At the beginning of the film, Mufasa teaches a young Simba about the kingdom and the responsibilities he will have once he is king. After forbidding Simba to journey into the Elephant Graveyard, he is called away to deal with hyenas in the Pride Lands. Through Scar's manipulation, Simba and his friend Nala travels into the Elephant Graveyard in Scar's plot to kill him, but Mufasa fortunately arrives and saves Simba and Nala from being killed by Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed. Mufasa later scolds Simba for disobeying his warning, though he forgives him shorty afterwards. REVIEW — Disneyland Paris raised its live entertainment credentials ever higher this weekend with the premiere of The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands, a stunning and refreshing take on Disney’s greatest modern story with world class stage production values.

In answer to his son's question about why lions rule the Pride Lands, Simba explains that it's always been this way, as his many ancestors, including Mohatu, ruled before him. In his youth, Scar was tasked with leading the Lion Guard, a legendary group of lions who defended the Circle of Life and protected the Pride Lands. As the group's leader, Scar was gifted with a powerful roar called the Roar of the Elders. Over time, his power and position led him to believe that he should be king instead of his elder brother, Mufasa. As a result, he tried to stage a coup with the rest of his Lion Guard, but they refused to assist him in his plot. In retaliation for their insolence, Scar destroyed them with the Roar of the Elders, but this cost him its use forever, for it could only be used for good. With a more solidly Broadway ethos, it introduced stunning live vocalists to a Disney theme park show along with an incredible amount of special effects: notably the water curtain video projections and animal puppetry. In the 400-seat theatre it was a victim of its own success, however — but Disneyland Paris (and its fans) have clearly never forgotten. Deleted: Diku • Baasho • Iggy • Herr Rhino • Kwashi • Bhati • Mheetu • Banagi • Daabi • Dwala • Naanda During early production of The Lion King 1½, Timon and Pumbaa were supposed to meet Scar. While searching for Mufasa, they encountered Scar and the hyenas, who had just finished singing "Be Prepared". Timon noted that Scar was not Mufasa, and Scar wondered why he must always be reminded of this. [55]

Kovu attempted to rejoin Simba's pride, but Simba exiled him from the Pride Lands. As he fled, Kovu looked into a pool of water and saw Scar's reflection in place of his own. Fearful of the vision, he fled. Deleted: To Be King • Warthog Rhapsody • The Lion of the Moon • Old Fearless Buzz • The Madness of King Scar • Where Do I Belong He set out on the journey and walked long and far. Finally, he reached a lush jungle, which appears to be the same oasis where Timon and Pumbaa made their home many years later. After getting a drink from the river, Mohatu laid down in the shade for a brief rest. But as he is napping, he hears the sound of someone crying. Curious, he goes in for a better look. Upon reaching the river, he sees a massive crocodile sitting in the water, crying. He asks him what's wrong, and the crocodile swims to the bank. Mohatu sees just how enormous and powerful he really is, and if he hadn't been the brave king that he was, he would have been terrified.

Another way to look at Job 41:8 is to never get into strife or contention with a proud person. Pride will cause you to argue, fight, and be contentious. There is no rest if you find yourself in battle with someone controlled by Leviathan. Contentious and argumentative people are controlled by Leviathan.
