Pretty useful on stage and in the case of the MG30, the sound doesn't seem fake or tiny compared to a real amp played in the same time. Yes, when you are using the QuickTone app, you can set up a full library of about 20 IRs, but once you disconnect the NUX MG-30, it is left with the last custom IR you were using!

This may end up being an owners club of one, but I thought the flagship modeler from NUX deserved it.

Normally the MG-300 would be enough for my needs, but due to eyesight problems I am worried that the screen is too small to make adjustments. Modulatable signal chain consisting of 11 independent blocks (Comp, EFX, Amp, IR, EQ, Mod, Delay, Reverb. I think you may be right about the scenes feature needing the dimmed out effect icon to be persistent, since scenes is all about switching on and off effects blocks. The NUX MG30 multi-fx unit offers you realistic amp response and playability, complete with a host of great features to play and experiment with! The Princeton is nice but it has something in common with the SLO: a big bass boost, reminding the impedance peak measured between output and loudspeaker(s) of some tube amps.

Designed in a contained and sturdy format, this revolutionary multi-effects will allow you to control and enjoy all your presets with great simplicity.

I set up my pedal board around the MG-30 this weekend, including a hack to give me volume swells while retaining echo and reverb trails. For practical purposes it's not a big deal, but if you have an issue with that type of behaviour, it might be something to keep in mind.

I could go back and forth between real tube preamp and digital sim with minimal differences in this case. Now and regarding the 6dB added in the high range by the MG-30 in STUDIO DIRECT mode: it makes sense, to me. I don’t think one should dial in at gig volumes…you should dial in against a good reference…and on good reference speakers.

Id go for the hx stomp, nux sent me an mg30 and id say they're ok, whereas the Line 6 stuff does hold up really well with all the expensive stuff. With its colour 4" LCD and clear knob layout, the NUX MG-30 is amazingly easy to use and quick to set up. You can then choose which finance term you'd like to apply for, and change your deposit if you wish. Having said that I was amazed at how good most of the effects were and the Quicktone Editor app makes it even better. I wouldn’t run them on expensive vintage effects, As some of that old stuff only had 10 volt caps in it to begin with, and they’re probably ready to go anyway. Here, the innovative 5-Way Encoder is used for easy navigation through any menus, while four additional parameters can be set easily and precisely via the lower four knobs. PIC 5 shows what the crude resonant peak of a guitar pickup becomes through the MG-30, all FX's disabled, when other output modes are selected: COMBO FRONT, STACK FRONT, COMBO REAR, STACK REAR. Maybe I wasn't clear enough with my post : what you hear with headphones most times (or always) has nothing to do with what you will hear through PA, FRFR speakers, studio speakers.
