Performance is very good for such a cheapie. I can still smell it on my skin hours later despite having gone noseblind. Projection is very good. My friend from school told me she could smell it as she was coming down the stairs a few metres behind me even though i had just entered the building. The drydown is a bit different from Elixir but the opening smells exactly like elixir, and with probably my favorite looking bottle in my collection (it's simply beautiful) I don't think I have any cons apart from the drydown being less spicy than elixir. A couple of years ago, my answer was a BIG NO to most middle-eastern fragrances... now my opinion has changed 180°! And with all my respect to designers and niche houses, I don't buy the "creativity, stealing, bla bla" thing anymore! Because it seems like everybody is "ok with it" when a niche house copies another niche house, or when a niche house copies a designer, or when a designer copies another designer or a niche house! The majority are ok with it and cool about it, but many people still look down on Middle Eastern fragrances! Why the hypocrisy? Let them copy what's already copied! It's something like reverse engineering. The bottle shape and design isn't too bad either especially if you remove the overly gold bow tie ornament. It's has a nice weight to it and it doesn't come across as cheap. If Lattafa changed the gold out for a matte silver or even brushed bronze they'd have a more mainstream product on their hands. Middle notes adalah aroma perantara top notes dan base notes.Aroma mid notes biasanya merupakan aroma floral, buah, dan rempah.

OK so I am indeed re-reviewing Lattafa's Asad. Now I still get the overly pineapple smell but honestly, I now get more than it. I am not sure if it was maturation or what but originally, I did not get anything at all similar to Drakkar Noir (which many say Sauvage Elixir smells similarish to) nor do I get Dior Sauvage. Asad isn't a bad fragrance, but I am one of those that gets the sweet pineapple. When I've said this, many question if I got Lattafa Qaed Al Fursan but alas I have this bottle. It does have the gold ribbon/sash that the bottle shows in the main picture. Perhaps this is a batch variation issue? According to the general consensus, this is supposed to be a clone of Dior Sauvage Elixir. I haven’t smelt Sauvage elixir, though, so I’ll review this one as its own thing. Haven’t smelt Dior Sauvage Elixir… this to me smells like a more wearable toned down Spicebomb (EDT). Dark purple florals and dry pineapple in the dry-down but mainly smooth warm spices and a tiny amount of SWEET tobacco (not oudy). Nighttime. Age 18+. Slightly more ‘masculine’ leaning if that’s how you define your scents but easily Multisex. Good longevity and decent silage.I like everything about this fragrance 🥰... it's spicy, sexy, manly, fresh, with a smooth rich dry down, very decent performance, and VERY cheap! It's a winner no doubt about it! ... I wonder what's going to happen after 2 or 3 years if the affordable, cheaper Middle-Eastern fragrances continue to improve and come closer to or even better than niche or designer fragrances in terms of quality and with a cheaper price tag. I must say, after 2-3 hours the powdery, slightly dry, vanilla dry-down is very reminiscent of what Borouj Perlador does on my skin (... which is a PDM Carlisle clone itself lol). Except this is more drier and powdery, and Perlador takes much more then 2-3 hours to get to that point, as it's also much stronger. Newer formulations of Red Tobacco end up at a similar point in the late dry-down - but again RT is stronger, and this is drier and more powdery. I'm careful not to get overlapping fragrances, yet for the first time I feel like I'm super close to redundant territory. I wish this held the lavender, licorice and spices for longer, which is what sets this apart from the other ones mentioned. Longevity on Asad is superb. I got 8hrs on my first wearing. Subsequently, I started to get 10hrs+ with a great amount of projection/silage. No issues with longevity here. Performance is decent. It lasts 8 to 12 hours. I find it works for winter, spring and fall. and can be used for day and night use. Originally I only got about five to 6 hours, but it is more. I'm coming in here with no experience with Dior Sauvage Elixir but of course I have the EDT so I have nothing to compare it to except Dior Sauvage EDT.

Short version: Asad is a less heavy, less refined, but way more flexible fragrance than Elixir that is worth giving a test run if you like Elixir. Also, if you don't want to pay for or can't afford Elixir, Asad is literally 95% cheaper.

IMHO...LPOME it's not really that bad. Not as repulsive as some of the testimonials here described it to be. I must admit that it is quite strong, the opening reminds me of a brand new nail polish you just opened but more pleasant & natural smelling than the usual harsh chemical assault to the senses. It projects well as it gradually approaches the dry down the stronger the projection gets. Then it goes through the change after 15 to 20 minutes, becomes more medicinal, leathery, slightly harsh & familiar smelling. Kind of reminds me of some similar aspects from more well-known niche medicinal, leather based fragrances like TF Ombre Leather, Amouage Interlude Man or PdM Kuhuyan. But it settles down after 20 to 30 mins to a softer, spicy & suedey accord. I seriously don’t know how Lattafa supposedly cloned Sauvage Elixir with whole different and unrelated notes! Makes me think they lie a lot about their notes.
