Description

When one of them is defeated at their opponent;s might, its owner is absorbed into one of their dimensional counterparts. In Yuto's case, despite having lost to Yugo, he was absorbed by Yuya who was closer to his position. However ownership of the "Dimension Dragons" seems to be determined by the dragons themselves, as Yuto only gave Yuya " Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon" after the dragon conveyed its will to him. Z-ARC was the original owner of these four dragons during his life in the Original Dimension, and he used them in a brutal manner to entertain the audience. Usually, you’ll be having Clear Wing Synchro Dragon protect itself from targeting effects. The big thing is that you can dodge Xyz Monsters which get around the first effect due to not having Levels – Clear Wing Synchro Dragon is still safe from the likes of Castel, the Skyblaster Musketeer and Number 101: Silent Honor ARK. Besides Xyz Monsters, many key low-Level monsters have targeting effects, like Farfa, Malebranche of the Burning Abyss.

Like how its counterparts are a reference to their owner's origin, "Clear Wing" represents Z-ARC's anger and hatred of humanity, which is reflected by Yugo's short temper and hatred of Yuri. If this card’s effect destroys a monster, this card gains ATK equal to the destroyed monster’s original ATK until the end of this turn. This is further supported by its manga counterpart's blue color scheme, which is the color of the left Pendulum Scale. Odd-Eyes: Red, the color of the right Pendulum Scale on Pendulum Monsters, and orange, the color of Effect Monsters. The "Clear" in this card's name may allude to Clear Mind, which is necessary to perform an Accel Synchro Summon in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's.

This card is the Synchro counterpart of " Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon", " Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon", and " Starving Venom Fusion Dragon".

As a side note: Yes, you can use a Clear Wing Synchro Dragon to negate your opponent’s Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, and vice-versa! Whoever saves their effect for last comes out ahead, in this case. Once per turn, during either player’s turn, when another Level 5 or higher monster activates its effect on the field: You can negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it. It is the only member to not have glass-like spheres embed in its body (though it does have glass-like wings, hence its name). While Clear Wing Synchro Dragon’s first effect covers all kinds of activated effects, it’s limited to negating Level 5 or higher monsters on the field. With its second effect, Clear Wing Synchro Dragon fills in much of the gaps left by its first effect. If any Level 5 or higher monster is targeted by a monster effect, you may negate and destroy that too! Following Z-ARC's defeat, the four dragons came into Yuya's possession, who was reluctant to use them besides "Odd-Eyes" out of fear that he might merge with them again and reawaken Z-ARC's soul within Riley. When Yuya finally resolved to Summon them at once he could hear their voices, but instead of feeling their anger he learned that they were afraid of Ray and wanted to stop her resurrection. Yuya assured them that they shouldn't be afraid and were strong on their own without needing Z-ARC nor the Supreme King Dragon. In response, the four dragons began to actively support Yuya during Duels as well by helping him grab Action Cards.

During Yuya's third Duel against Declan, he realized that the dragons are actually genuinely wanted to make people and other monsters smile just like Z-ARC and only became violent because the audience asked and selfishly desired for it, and could feel their regret over it. Yuya was ultimately able to help the dragons accomplish this, which in turn seemed to calm their anger and make Z-ARC's soul within Riley smile. Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon" is the only "Dimension Dragon" that has also appeared in the manga; the others have all been replaced by counterparts.

While "Stardust" has a more defensive intention in effect (Victim Sanctuary), "Clear Wing" has an offensive intention (Dichroic Mirror). When all four "Dimension Dragons" have been summoned in the same location, a distortion in the sky appears and the dragons' owners all Awaken. In addition, the dragons that are controlled by Yuya himself emitted an aura of darkness similar to the one he emits while Awakened. The final layer of punishment is in the form of a huge ATK boost for the rest of the turn! While Clear Wing Synchro Dragon starts off at a nice 2500 ATK, there’s always room for improvement in that area. Any time it destroys something with its other two effects, Clear Wing Synchro Dragon will absorb that monster’s power into itself! Even taking down something of average size, like a modest Chaos Sorcerer, will shoot your dragon up to 4800 ATK! Destroy two monsters, using each effect, and you could end the game with just Clear Wing Synchro Dragon by itself! Like "Dark Rebellion" and "Starving Venom", its effect allows it to gain ATK dependent on the target of its effect Just like the anime effects of "Odd-Eyes" and "Dark Rebellion", this card's effect affects Level 5 or higher monsters. Unlike the other two cards, however, and like "Starving Venom", that characteristic was retained for this card's OCG/ TCG effect. Once per turn, during either player’s turn, when a monster effect is activated that targets exactly 1 Level 5 or higher monster on the field (and no other cards): You can negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it. Clear", meaning transparent or obvious, alludes to Yugo's straightforwardly impulsive personality. "Wings" are symbolic of freedom and speed, both of which are important aspects of Turbo Duels.
