Description

Looking for advice on this iCarsoft MB V3.0 - maybe I'm probably missing something obvious in the procedure. lots of stuff can go wrong and get muddled exactly because reverse engineered activity (or what engineers do to add aditional diagnostic capability in updates) doesn't necessarily get all the nuances of interactions within other modules - they all have no real idea what they are doing - two fantastic examples It will read codes, module information, and any livestream data that might be present while the ECU is operational. It will not allow you to actuate individual components of the ABC system, nor will it allow you to change any settings. To be honest, I will keep my MBII for now. It is a useful tool and something that can be stored in the trunk. It doesn't need a laptop nor multiplexer. It's one of those things that could really come in handy if you were driving somewhere far from home and all of a sudden, some idiot light on the cluster turns on, or something else weird happens. At least this tool should give you a fairly specific idea of what the issue is, thus allowing you to troubleshoot from there. Purely because OBD is only looking at a handful of codes, which vary from Car Manufacturer to Car Manufacturer, it all depends what they deem as "Emission Related".......... I've seen OBD which couldn't pull an Air Flow Meter Code on some Cars

OBD is almost useless on any Car. The law of sod says that the fault code a car has probably isn't one OBD will see. Can't blame you for liking the Benzes; there's not much to dislike (but see below). Any ideas of what your next one, down the road, will be? I upgraded from the MB II to the 2, no difference apart from a couple of extra buttons on the device. I'm glad someone has had some success with it. Perhaps its the the software used for the 447 Bluetec. But icarsoft claims it does work. Anyone else used the MB V3 on a 447 Bluetec? Would be good to hear what works and what dosn't

Not worth the money and the customer support from the dealer was non existent. Icarsoft LR tool worked bountifully but wont work with MB vehicles. Vehicle Information| Displays the vehicle identification number (VIN), the calibration verification number (CVN), and other information of the vehicle.I can assure you that Icarsoft MB11 will do a forced regen, so I would assume that the MB3 is better again. If you love to do further troubleshooting, you can also stream live sensor data. It can do this not just for the Engine Control Unit (ECU) but also for the following multiple systems such as: I/M Readiness -- I/M Readiness indicate whether or not the various emissions-related systems on the vehicle are operating properly and are ready for Inspection and Maintenance testing.

Affordable scanner. If this scanner saves you at least one trip to your mechanic, it will already pay for itself. We believe it will save you more than one trip though.FIRST FIX THE FAULTS THAT CAUSED THE DPF TO BECOME CLOGGED TO THE POINT WHERE IT WONT CLEAR ITSELF. Confirm that the fault has been repaired and you will be able to continue to the regeneration by driving method.
